I have been running these plate holders on my 3 bikes for a while now. I believe they are the best one out there. They are easily removable, super flexible. My friends have switched from other popular brands to these plate holders.

I just got my electric KTM Freeride EX-C street legal here in CO so I could scoot around town when not hitting the trails. This product is exactly what the market was missing. Quick release so when you're on the trails it's not on your bike and when you pop onto the street, a simple twist with your hands and you're good to go. The holder itself is malleable and soft (likely 3d printed) but thick enough not to worry about long term use. The holes could use some precision fine tuning but everything still fit. Installation was easy but I suggest drilling smaller "alignment" holes, 1/4" (same as center) should do, and you could probably even not drill these if you didn't want more holes in your plastic. Would highly recommend to any trail and street rider.
This product works really well for someone who wants to be able to take their license plate off easily for more technical single track and put it back on when you need it for cruising down the road. The thumb screw that holds the assembly to your fender has great retention thanks to good mechanical design in addition to the nylock nut.

Love that I can remove the plate while I’m on the trail so I don’t damage or lose it when I inevitably take a dirt sample. High quality material and very easy to install. Highly recommend.

The Mullet is a tool-free removable license plate holder for dirt bikes. Designed to be durable for impacts and quick to install or remove.

Critical Fitment Notes:
- Tighten the thumbscrew fully using half of your full hand strength. It will feel tight at first but keep going until the thumb screw fully compresses the Mullet and your bike's drop fender.
- The Short Mullet fits: KTM, Husqvarna, Beta and Sherco for horizontal plate mounting.
- The Long version will fit Beta (all years) and Sherco (up 2024) bikes in both horizontal and vertical plate mounting. 2025+ Sherco's should still use the long size but may have difficulty fitting the plate in the vertical orientation. (Refer to your local laws if vertical plate mounting is legal in your area).
- If mounting to an aftermarket drop fender/taillight on a Yamaha, Honda or Suzuki the Short Mullet is guaranteed to fit. However, the Sicass and Acerbis drop fenders can accommodate the Long Mullet to allow for vertical and horizontal plate mounting.
- Stark Varg EX Fitment Note: The Long Mullet is best and please note that it will not securely mount to the OEM slots on your Varg EX drop fender. However, the Long Mullet mounts very cleanly with two small drilled holes at the center of your drop fender. This will also require slight cutting of the center rib on the backside of the drop fender. If you attempt to mount to the OEM slots, the plate holder will fall off when you ride and we cannot guarantee the plate holder will be secure.

FAQ's
Will this fit my bike? There are two versions of The Mullet. A "Short" and "Long" option.
Short: best for shorter OEM plate fenders. The Short version places the mounting screw closer to the top of the plate. The Short Mullet can only be mounted horizontally. Min fender length = 1.9in (48mm).
Long: best for longer OEM plate fenders. The Long version places the mounting screw at the exact center of the plate which allows for vertical or horizontal mounting with the same holder. Min fender length for vertical mounting = 4.1in (105mm). Min fender length for horizontal mounting = 3.2in (80mm).

How does only one screw keep the plate secure? The Mullet is mounted using an Elesa® M6 thumbscrew that is threaded into a press fit hole and then backed with a metal nut. The press fit is specifically tuned to allow no accidental loosening. Imagine four nylon lock nuts holding an oversized bolt. In addition, the plate holder is flexible which reduces the impact load on the connection to the bike. Extensive offroad and on road testing showed no loosening of the knob.
